The State of Gambo: Art of the English Viol

I am a big fan of Karen and her friends, who perform English Consort music. If you're in Boston and looking for a niche music experience, you might consider attending one of these upcoming chamber music concerts.

Long & Away, a consort of viols, explores the wealth of English music
for viol consort. Works include Tye's "Crye," Hume's lyra viol duos, Gibbons'
fantasias, virtuosic divisions by Jenkins, and Byrd's masterful setting of
"Browning."

Karen Burciaga, treble viol
Rachel Cama-Lekx, treble and bass viols
Tobi Szuts, tenor and bass viols
Josh Schreiber Shalem, bass viol
Zoe Weiss, bass viol
